Welcome to Robert Bateman Public School!
Welcome to the 2024 / 2025 school year at Robert Bateman Public School. My name is Jeff Griesbach (Mr. G), and this is my 4th year serving the Robert Bateman School community as Principal. Along with Ms Darla Fuller, who is entering her 2nd year as Vice-Principal, we are proud to work alongside the dedicated RBPS staff in serving the Bateman School Community.
Robert Bateman is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school of approximately 250 students and 30 staff located in Ottawa South. Our school is home to both the Regular English and Early French Immersion (EFI) programs, in addition to a Primary Special Needs (PSN) class.
Over the summer we have had a few updates to our staffing and are thrilled to welcome new staff to our team:
- Mme Megan Tessier returns as Junior EFI homeroom teacher;
- Ms Angela Petten returns as a Junior English to French Immersion teacher;
- Mr Matthew Blundell joins us for the year as Primary / Junior English homeroom teacher;
- M. Alex Thomas joins us for the year as Core French teacher;
- Ms Emma Thom joins us for the year as our new Primary Special Needs (PSN) homeroom teacher;
- Ms Sarina Parisee, Ms Suad Hussein, and Ms Ghusoun Bondok join the RBPS team as Educational Assistants.
