On behalf of the staff at Robert Bateman Public School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to this website.
My name is Jeff Griesbach (Mr G) and I have the honour of serving the Robert Bateman School community as Principal. I have been an educator with the OCDSB for 24 years; for the last 10 years as a school administrator in Ottawa South, so I feel a special connection to the families in this community.
Robert Bateman is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school of approximately 265 students and 35 staff located in Ottawa South. Our school is home to both the Regular English and Early French Immersion (EFI) programs, in addition to a Primary Special Needs (PSN) class.
Over the summer we have had a few updates to our staffing and are thrilled to welcome new staff to our team. In Kindergarten, we welcome Ms. Joey Cao and Mme Virginia Cortez as the English and French teachers in the Blue Kindergarten class. We welcome three new members to our Early Childhood Educator (ECE) team: Ms Wilguite Noel in the Green Room, Ms. Muna Djibril in the Blue Room, and Ms Stephanie Vannier in the Red Room. We also welcome back Mr Jason Hirst, who will be teaching the Grade 5/6 English class, and Ms Vera Li as our school’s Designated Occasional Teacher (DOT).
On this web-site you will find an abundance of information, including:
- Staff List

As the Robert Bateman Mission Statement says: “We come to Robert Batemen to love learning, strive for excellence, and prepare for our future.” Together, we can work towards supporting every child to achieve these goals.
Sincerely,
Jeff Griesbach
Principal
