Congratulations Stephanie Steward!

StewardEvery year, the OCDSB recognizes a few outstanding employees who have gone above and beyond in their service to students, staff, and families. We are pleased to announce that our own RBPS Office Administrator Stephanie Steward is receiving the 2024 OCDSB Director’s Citation Award. This award recognizes staff members who have made “an outstanding and significant contribution to the District and its students over an extended period of time, showing a level of imagination, enthusiasm, and professionalism that constitutes a worthy model for others.” You can read more about Ms Stephanie and the other award recipients here. Congratulations Ms Stephanie: we appreciate all you do for the RBPS community every day!

June is National Indigenous History Month / Pride Month

At RBPS, we take opportunities throughout the year to teach and celebrate the history, role models, leaders, accomplishments, and culture of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples. During National Indigenous History Month, we will engage in school-wide and class specific learning opportunities related to Indigenous history, identity, and the path towards reconciliation.

In addition, June is also Pride Month, which is an opportunity to celebrate diversity, learn about the achievements and histories of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. This month, we focus on curriculum expectations linked to equity, human rights, and overcoming discrimination. OCDSB schools fly the Pride flag in June to reaffirm that everyone is welcome here.

Junior Volleyball at RBPS

Thank you to our Junior Volleyball coaches Mme Boudreau and Mme Irus for all your work in preparing for the Junior Volleyball Team for the SouthEast Regional Tournament on Thursday, May 23. After advancing to the quarter-finals and the semi-finals, the RBPS team once again brought home the winning banner and - more importantly - represented Robert Bateman with teamwork and sportsmanship: congratulations!
